Terms of Use and Community Rules
Last updated: October 31, 2026. Draft: legal review in progress. This text may change before the app launches. The Turkish version is the governing text.
These terms govern your use of the Wagora iOS app and the wagora.app website. Wagora is developed by Mustafa Abdullah Kaya (individual developer, “Wagora”, “we”). By creating an account you accept these terms and the Community Rules. How your personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy.
1. What Wagora is, and isn't
Wagora matches dogs as playmates by temperament, energy and distance, and suggests meeting in a public park.
- Wagora is not a dating app or an app for meeting people.
- Wagora is not a platform for selling, rehoming or breeding dogs.
- Wagora doesn't give veterinary, training or behavior advice. The compatibility score is an estimate based on owners' own answers; it doesn't guarantee that dogs will get along.
2. Who can use Wagora
- Wagora is only for people aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, you can't open an account.
- Each person may open one account. Each account currently has one dog profile.
- Accounts can't be opened with disposable email services.
- Someone whose account was closed under the Community Rules can't open a new account with the same email address for 1 year.
3. Your account and your dog
- You're responsible for the information in your profile being accurate. Vaccination and spay/neuter details are your own statement; Wagora doesn't verify them.
- Only create a profile for your own dog, and only upload photos you have the right to share.
- Describe your dog's temperament honestly, especially whether they're reactive and how they get on with small dogs. This information keeps other dogs safe.
- At a meetup you're responsible for your dog's behavior and control. Follow the park's and the municipality's leash, cleanup and other rules.
- You're responsible for keeping your account secure; never share your sign-in code.
4. Community Rules
Money, sales and contact details
Under our Community Rules, payments, fees, and bank or account details may not be shared on Wagora, and dog sales, adoption fees, or breeding may not be discussed. Requests that break this rule may lead to account restriction or closure. If you receive such a request, please report it.
- Selling dogs or puppies, charging adoption fees, breeding offers and offers of any paid service (grooming, walking, training, etc.) are not allowed.
- Messages containing an IBAN or card number are not sent. When a message mentions money, payment, sales or breeding, or contains a phone number or a link, both people see this notice.
- Nobody should ask you for money. If someone does, report them with “Asked for money”.
Meetup safety
- Meet in daylight, in a busy public park. Never at home.
- Wagora always suggests a public park and daytime hours; you never have to share your home address.
- Read the safety tips in the app before your first meetup. You can share the meetup details with a friend.
- If you or your dog don't feel safe, end the meetup; if needed, report it with “Unsafe meeting”.
Respect and honesty
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination and abusive behavior are not allowed.
- Fake profiles and pretending to be someone else, or someone else's dog, are not allowed.
- Sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content may not be shared.
- No spam, advertising or bulk messages.
- Don't use Wagora to date or to meet people for reasons other than your dogs.
- Don't misuse the app: scraping data with automated tools, trying to get around rate limits or safety measures, or trying to work out other users' locations is not allowed.
5. Reporting and blocking
Every profile and chat has Report and Block options. Safety features are never paid. Report categories:
- Asked for money
- Selling or breeding
- Fake profile
- Harassment
- Inappropriate content
- Unsafe meeting
- Spam
- Other
A reported person is never told who reported them. Someone you block can't see you in Discover or message you; if your dogs were playmates, that ends.
6. When rules are broken
- Hidden from Discover: a dog that receives a certain number of reports or sends messages that break the rules may be hidden from Discover automatically until a review is complete.
- Restriction: after a review an account may be restricted. A restricted account can't tap “Be playmates” or send messages, and its dog isn't shown in Discover.
- Closure: for serious or repeated violations the account is closed and its matches end permanently.
- Restriction and closure decisions are made by a person. You can appeal at [email protected].
- Where the law is broken, we respond to lawful requests from competent authorities to the extent the law requires.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to the photos and text you share. You give Wagora permission to use that content only to provide the service (showing it to other users in the app, storing it, resizing it). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the safety retention periods in the Privacy Policy. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
8. Fees
Wagora is currently free. If paid features are added later, the price and terms will be shown clearly before purchase. Safety features such as reporting, blocking and deleting your account will never be paid.
9. Liability
Meetups happen between users; Wagora doesn't organize or supervise them and doesn't guarantee how users or dogs behave. We provide Wagora “as is” and can't guarantee it will work without interruption or errors. Liability that can't be limited by law and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
10. App Store
Because you download the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Wagora, not Apple, is the party to these terms; Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. What is deleted and what is kept for a while for safety is explained in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and governing law
When we change these terms we update the date at the top; for significant changes we ask for your consent again in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.
13. Contact
General questions: [email protected]. App support and appeals: [email protected].
